Last week I worked at an event where people were dressed up according to the theme 'Apocalypse'. It wasn't too hot and slight drizzle around five cooled people down a bit who felt hot anyway. 

On my way there I passed the Saint Nicholas basilica, across from Central Station:

Also on my way home, I enjoyed the view. I like what Amsterdam looks like in the city centre but also at just 10 minutes by tram from that same centre:

The people and atmosphere at the party inspired this piece of poetry:

A Lifetime (a #poem)

Loud witnesses of the night before

told the story of how strangers met,

danced to the same beat

and went to bed with tired feet

They enjoyed the night

although it was the afternoon,

shared a drink

and knew it would be over soon

but the memory would last

a lifetime
