Last week I still took it easy after recovering from some virus attack to my body. So here's 'my' street. At the end of it you can see that even contruction work the city tries to make look enjoyable. In this case by putting up pink nets to catch some possible falling debris while people get new window stills:
Yes. I noticed too. A lot of bikes. Saves a lot of space ánd keeps people healthy. Just imagine the same number of cars occupying the same spot. Oh, and the guy in the picture is a Dutch legal scholar from around the 1600s. He got canceled for expressing ideas the government did not find amusing. The street is named after him. On 'his' right there's a street named after his wife; on the other is a street named after his mistress. Sorry, her mistress. Sorry, their housekeeper. On my way to my Freemasons Lodge I walked across a bridge that granted me this view:
It looks like spring is breaking through in Amsterdam. Is it in your area?
This next poem was actually part of a recent conversation I had with a friend who stated she is tired of the current world and would like to go back to living in the seventies.

The Stone Age (a #poem)
I'll heat up my lavalamps,
get a new second hand record player,
make you a cup of simple filter coffee
and perhaps even let you play
with one of my two seventies game computers:
we could play Pong on the big machine from Philips
or Basketball on the handheld device from Tandy.
Oh, and I have a huge pile of comics
from the seventies in my attic.
We could enjoy ourselves being locked up
in that situation until your child has grandchildren
and the outside world has either turned to normal
again or back to the Stone Age.
