The other day I was in Amstelveen, visiting a different Freemason's Lodge than my own:
There's an old tram track there that's only used on the weekend. When an old tram rides the track, serving as a living museum to people who want to know how their grandparentes used public transport. Quite cool!
A few days later I visited a friend in Amsterdam-Noord:
Lucky for us, it was one of the thirty or so days spread throughout the year, we Dutch call 'Summer'
When I travel outside Amsterdam, that's usually via Amsterdam Central Station. A couple of years ago - all trains, buses and trams kept running while they performed this task of engineering - they build an extra layer on top of the old station to accomodate all the different buses that used to stop at different bus stops in the area. And created a very nice viewpoint in the proces:

Today's poem is one of the few dozen I wrote while working for five weeks in Middlesbrough, past Winter:
To go Home (a #poem)
They had known eachother
for weeks now
and they agreed
the time had come
for him
to come home with her
He was not one
to turn down an invitation
which led to them
making themselves comfortable
on her bed
Until a knock on the door
and an accompanying voice
told him
it was time
to go home
