A friend and I were in the wonderful place of Whitby, United Kingdom:

We saw (a copy of) The Borghese Gladiator at the Whitby Abbey visitor centre:

The Abbey was inspirational for a certain writer you may have heard of: Bram Stoker

The pittoresque town of Whitby itself:

and we met a kind stranger. Here's my friend, setting up her camera for a selfie.

This poem is inspired by the lady who's name was in big letters on the poster of our show 'Snow White':

Poster Girl (a #poem)

After all this time,

she still made him skip

the occasional heartbeat

Every dance

brought them closer together

and her screams 

got him to respond

every single time

They knew

the time was nearing

for their last dance

but that was okay

for him

and his Poster Girl
