On a day off from doing a show in Rotherham, UK, I visited a shopping mall in the nearby city of Sheffield. And took this shot as it was getting dark. Around four in the afternoon:
It wasn't that dark a few hours earlier when I looked up standing inside Meadowhall shopping hall.
Here's a picture of possibly Rotherham's oldest building. Not surprisingly a church. From the 1600’s: Rotherham Minster:
Asphalt rules in the city where I lived and worked for almost two months. Where the people were getting ready for Christmas.
Quite a few days the weather was decent enough to walk half an hour to the theatre from the guesthouse where I stayed. Every morning I would open my bedroom window to check the weather. If it was bad, I would treat myself to a £5 taxi ride.

This poem was inspired by a colleague I saw standing in the wings of the theatre where we were playing a show:
The Last Sunset (a #poem)
There she stood
in the shadow of the wings
she only saw her silhouette
and guessed the rest
which wasn't hard to do
as she'd seen her before
and would see her again
many times over
right up until
the last sunset
