Whenever I walk past it, I'm always intrigued by this building: a policestation built in the late 1900s and been used as such until 2015. Since then awaiting a new destination.

One of the many canals near my house. Then again: everything in Amsterdam is 'near my house' since you can easily walk from one end of the city to the opposite one under four hours.

Noordermarkt. On the left: the best applepie in town at Winkel 43. On the right you see the Noorderchurch

Another canal. With in the distance the Westerchurch, the bells of which gave Anne Frank, hiding in a attic behind a book case a few hundred meters towards where the viewer stands, hoping that one day the war would end and she could return safely to her original homecountry, Germany. Yes, she was German, not Dutch.

Recently this piece came to me when listening to some sad music that made me smile. Is it a story or a poem and does it matter? What do you think of the GIF I found to go with this piece of prose? It's a circle story or - poem. Meaning the last line is the same as the first one. What do you call this type of writing?

Feel Sad (#CircleStoetry)

The music made him feel sad.

And happy. 

The piano could do

with a bit of tuning. 

Then again, so could he.

Reality and he were out of tune,

out of sync and out of line.

And soon...out of time.

She was out of order. 

It's why she had stopped playing.

She needed to be fixed.

Tomorrow he would

call for a repair crew 

to have a look

at his Companion. 

For now he would ask 

for some soothing music 

and his handlers obliged.

The music made him feel sad.
