Spring has hit my hometown of Amsterdam. Sunglasses are needed.

For if the sun's not hiding behind a tree or building, it shines quite bright

Here's the courtyard of a complex of appartmentbuildings where once there was a church.

Rumour has it, the fountain in the centre has been placed at the spot where the font used to be. To be honest, I think it's merely symbolism but am not sure.

To accomodate tourists we like to uphold the myth of 'canals and tulips everywhere!':

We love tourists because thanks to them we have the money to reinforce bridges and bring all the cables and sewage pipes and whatnot in them up to modern standards:

and cross bridges in the dark without fear of the bridge railing giving way:

Fun fact: there is no Dutch word for 'potholes'. We simply don't have them. As soon as one is spotted, any local citizen can report it to the city counsil and it's fixed within 48 hours. Usually within 24. With exceptions of course.

Today's poem I made up about half an hour before publishing.

We're done (a #poem)

I'll treat you like a shadow,

hiding in an alley next to

the shiny blue building

that hurts in the sun

Remember that air show

on vacation in that tiny village

with the pink blinders

and that bull on the run?

Let't make some more of those memories

and turn them into fantasies

for when we see eachohter again

in the land where

we go to

after we're done

The Final Solution

"When will the UN finally intervene!" "As soon as the IOF starts killing UN workers. The intentional murder of tens of thousands of innocents is absolutely no reason for the UN to [upset our boss] do anything." 

"But they just killed over 200 of your staff!" 

"Well, yes, but that's merely a fact and absolutely no reason to stand in the way of the z!o's wish for a Thousand Year Empire and more Lebensraum with their Blut und Boden policy so we still support their Final Solution."

Fact is: the UN is absolutely powerless if only one memberstate veto's a UN decision. In the case of the Israel/Palestine conflict, the [z!onists] US has used its veto rights over 30 times.

If the UN was a democratic organisation, the UN would have long ago intervened in the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza. But truth is: the UN appears to be controlled by those who have everything to gain by armed conflicts.
