Last week a friend and I shared a drink. Near the hospital my mother as well as my son's mother spent their last days on this planet. So, naturally we discussed life and death. 

The tram on my way to the cafe took me over a bridge crossing the river that gave Amsterdam its name: Amstelredamme: Dam over the Amstel (river).

Just to show you Amsterdam is more than canals, canalhouses and canalboats:

The next day I took this picture from the front door of my Freemasons Lodge:

Inspired by my work as a stage actor, I wrote this poem:

Multistage (a #poem)

Distracted by a flying moped

people don't hear your final note.

But it's wonderful

and appreciated

because it accompanies my mood

when I see your smiling eyes

And think

of the happy little moments,

running into you.

Backstage, onstage,

lifting off, multistage
