Climate change is real. Even for those who believe it's a hoax, only to blame poor multinationals like Shell and ExxonMobil and the fossil fuels industry should always be receiving tens of billions in 'free money' (subsidies from our tax money) to ruin the planet 'because that's good for the economy'.

Some still don't realise it's hard to enjoy a nice economy if crops rot away and floods, hurricanes and droughts make life difficult.

Anyway: the new circumstances save us Dutch a lot of money. We don't have to sigh in the heat in a village in Krete, paying €1000 a week. Because we can just walk out the door, walk for five minutes and sigh in the heat in Amsterdam.

A seagull felt too hot to fly so it sat on a bolder, perhaps hoping for a cool breeze created by people passing by on a boat.

Owners of houseboats have found a creative way to keep their homes cool: growing grass on the roof.

A final dance

the last chance

to feel her fingers

toching his

To hear her breathing

and to see her smiling eyes

while her lips said no

the night

the curtains closed

after

a final dance
